1. INTRODUCTION

ROC Player is a media player application developed by ROC PLAYER LTD (Company No. 17153202), 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

2. DATA WE COLLECT

We collect the following data solely to provide app functionality:

  • Device ID / MAC Address: Used to verify your app licence and link your device to your account. Never sold or shared with third parties.
  • Playlist Credentials: M3U URLs and streaming credentials you voluntarily enter. Stored locally on your device and transmitted only to the media service provider you specify.
  • Crash Reports: Anonymous error reports via Sentry (sentry.io) containing device type, OS version, and error details. No personal information included.

3. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

  • We do not collect your name, email address, or payment information.
  • We do not track your viewing history or habits.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
  • We do not access any content you stream through the app.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

ROC Player connects to services that you configure:

  • Your chosen media service provider (credentials you enter are sent to their servers)
  • Sentry.io for anonymous crash reporting
  • Our licence server at rocplayer.com to verify your app licence

5. DATA STORAGE

All playlist data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. Your device ID is registered on our secure licence server at rocplayer.com.

6. YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR)

As a UK/EU resident you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at contact@rocplayer.com to exercise these rights.

To request deletion of your personal data, go to Settings > Delete Data within the ROC Player app, or email contact@rocplayer.com with the subject 'Data Deletion Request'.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

ROC Player is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
